Talking about the same, Jeter said that the play was not hard. And it was not the first time he crashed into a seat. He remembered another incident where he took a dive and landed in the photographer’s pit.
“You know, as a matter of fact; the play was not hard, it’s pop-up. But it’s old Yankee Stadium. There was not a lot of room between the third base and the stands. And a couple of years ago, I fell in the photographers’ pit during the postseason,” Jeter revealed.
“You guys make me remember that against Oakland. So, me always being prepared, I figured I might just jump over the photographer’s pit and I’ll land into someone’s lap. And I landed in one seat where there was no fan. So, it didn’t feel too good.”

Was Jeter a nightmare for the Red Sox?
Though the former Yankees captain was a pure gentleman of the game, he was a nightmare for the Red Sox. Jeter has played some of his best games against the Boston Red Sox. But it is also true that the Red Sox has won three World Series during the Jeter era in MLB.
