Jimmy Fallon had to support the Boston Red Sox because of an acting job, but in reality, he is a Yankees fan. Fallon was cast in a movie called Fever Pitch, that was released in 2005. Fallon plays a character called Ben in the movie, who is a diehard Boston Red Sox fan. This leads to Jimmy having to support the Red Sox while playing the role. Something that he probably didn’t enjoy doing very much. On an episode of The Breakfast Club, Fallon was asked if he was a Boston Red Sox fan.

In reply Fallon said, “No, I am, but no. I played one in a movie.” Fallon also detailed the hate and jibes he received from Boston Red Sox fans while shooting scenes from the movie at Fenway Park.
