Nothing is going in favor of the New York Yankees this season. Be it their offense or defense, the Aaron-Boone-led side has disappointed their fans big time this season. With captain Aaron Judge out for an indefinite time, the hunger for win seems to be gone from the clubhouse. And this was clearly visible during the Yankees’ embarrassing defeat to the Colorado Rockies when a Yankees pitcher lost his cool.

Recently, when Tommy Kahnle did not have a good day from the mound, the Yankees pitcher expressed his frustration in the dugout. Knowing how crucial this game was for the Yankees, angry fans did not hesitate to take shots at Kahnle.

There is no denying that the Yankees have very limited options in their rotation. With Nestor Cortes Jr. out because of injury and Carlos Rodon not in the rhythm, the Bombers do not have many pitching options. Notably, the absence of Nestor and Rodon’s poor form would be a wonderful opportunity to grab a starting place in the rooster. But Kahnle does not seem to be handling the pressure very well.

During the eighth inning of the game, the Rockies loaded their bases, and that is when C. J. Cron smacked down his sixth career slam. That was the final nail from the Rockies to hand a series defeat to the AL heavyweights.

Reacting to his poor outing, the 33-year-old lost his cool and ended up smacking his hand on a water cooler in the dugout. Taking to Twitter, Talkin Yanks shared a video of the same. “Kahnle wasn’t thrilled with himself and took it out on a water cooler,” the caption said.

Although the damage was already done before Kahnle came to the mound, he seemed frustrated in the dugout. But seems like it was not enough for the already-angry Yankees fans, who were depressed after watching their team lose against the worst NL team this season.

After watching his frustration in the dugout, Yankees fans expressed their anger on Twitter. Even though the poor situation of the Yankees’ rotation is already known to everyone, the expectations are always big from the MLB giants. And it was clearly visible when fans criticized Tommy for his reaction.

Take a look at how fans reacted to Kahnle’s gesture in the dugout:

One fan labeled him as a “b*m”, while another fan said that “dude is washed.”

Talking about the game, before Kahnle came to pitch, Clay Holmes had already conceded a grand slam to the Rockies’ C. J. Cron. And after that, things only went south for the injury-plagued Yankees. In the end, the Rockies took the game home by 8-7 and handed a series defeat to Boone and company.
