Aaron Judge and Anthony Rizzo would want to be Dachshunds if they were a dog

Aaron Judge has developed great connections with his teammates over the years. But his connection with Anthony Rizzo is a special brotherhood that has developed rather quickly. It was recently put on display when they answered a question. New York Yankee players and coaching staff were asked what breed they’d be if they were a dog. Judge and Rizzo both chose a type of Dachshund. The Yankees’ official Twitter account shared a video of this question being asked.

While answering Judge said, “Miniature Dachshund”, and Rizzo said, “A Dachshund of course.” This is not that surprising, as both Judge and Rizzo own Dachshund puppies. The Yankees captain has a Dachshund named Penny while Rizzo’s dog is named Kevin.

Furthermore, Rizzo even used his dog’s friendship with Judge’s dog as a method to convince the Yankee’s captain to sign a new contract. Other popular answers among players and coaching staff were German Shepard, Pitbull, and Bulldog. But getting back to Judge, his dog’s relationship with Rizzo’s dog may have played a huge part in keeping him with the Yankees.

Judge left fans anxious during his free agency

This off-season Aaron Judge was a free agent for the first time in his career. This came after a fantastic 2022 season in which he won the AL MVP award.
