New York Yankees are having quite a season in 2022. After a poor free agency in the off-season, no one expected the Pinstripes to play such a kind of baseball. But here they are. Ruling the American League East like the old times.

Under the leadership of Aaron Judge, the Yankees have been sensational this season. If not for the Baltimore Orioles series at the Camden Yards, The Bronx Bombers have not lost a single series in the current season.

They also went through an 11-game winning streak. The New York Yankees have won 22 out of 30 games this season. It is not an ordinary feat for the Yankees, given their performance in the past couple of years. But even if they have got one of the best starts, do the Yankees stand a chance to win the World Series? Because the odds are in favor of the Pinstripes.

Can the New York Yankees end their World Series title drought in the 2022 season?

History repeats itself. It might take years, even decades, but what is bound to happen will happen. Coming down to the Yankees, they are enjoying a wonderful run this season. If comparing their 30-game starts of this season to their all-time records, they have won 22 games out of the first 30 games, only the ninth time in the franchise history.

And guess what? The other eight times when the Yankees got such a start, they ended up making it to the World Series on all occasions. Except for the 2003 season, they won the title on seven occasions. On top of that, their arch-rivals, the Boston Red Sox, are having one of their worst seasons with just 11 wins out of 31 games.

As per YES Network, the Yankees have an identical record (22-8) of the first 30 games in 1923, 1932, 1950, and the current season. So, if the Yankees end up having their hands on the silverware, it will not be a surprise.

Leave the team’s stats aside. This time, even Aaron Judge is in the form of his life. The Yankees slugger has already smoked ten home runs in just 29 games, compared to his season-haul 39 home runs in 2021.

Compared to their first 30-game records of the last two years, the Yankees have been simply outstanding this season. Compared to 17 wins and 13 defeats in 2020, and 16 wins and 14 defeats in the 2021 season, the Yankees have much better numbers this time.

The versatility in the roster has been a massive reason for their successful run. They are not dependent on certain players. Instead, different players have risen on the occasion and taken their team home. Whether it is Anthony Rizzo, Gleyber Torres, or even Nestor Cortes Jr., all of them have been exceptional for the Yankees.

Yankees in the World Series

The Yankees have not played their best baseball in the past 4 to 5 years. But this current team led by Aaron Judge is in no mood to slow down. As of now, the Yankees have won 27 World Series titles (a record).
