The ongoing MLB off-season has been quite busy, as lots of trades and new signings have been going on. Although that has been exciting, the NFL playoffs have been even more so with upsets and outstanding performances happening daily. Furthermore, a number of players have left their marks on the playoffs this time around. The latest to do so is none other than Kansas City Chiefs Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
He led the Chiefs to the Super Bowl title in the 2019 season, a historic feat. And if things do not go south, Mahomes looks set to lead his team to another title this year as well. The superstar quarterback’s latest performance even caught the attention of a young star with the Kansas City Royals.

The NFL playoffs are under full swing and there has been no shortage of excitement. The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-20 in the Divisional Round. NFL fans were treated to a nail-biter of a game with Patrick Mahomes coming up clutch despite an ankle injury. It led to Kansas City Royals third baseman Bobby Witt Jr. complimenting Mahomes on Twitter.

In the Tweet, Witt Jr. said, “15 is a dog!!”, referring to Mahomes’ jersey number. This was a testament to the grit and determination shown by the Chief’s quarterback and the desire to help his team win.

The Chiefs’ star quarterback looked fantastic in the regular season, but his performance in the playoffs has been legendary. Mahomes recently even revealed two tricks to ace the playoffs. But although Witt Jr. has been lauding Patrick Mahomes, the young Royals prospect has got many experts excited himself.
Bobby Witt Jr. had a solid rookie season
In 2022, Bobby Witt Jr. had a great rookie season with the Kansas City Royals. Although he showed deficiencies in his game as most rookies do, there is a lot of potential to work with. Witt Jr. looked good both while batting and fielding, but definitely has to work on his game. On-base percentage is a particular statistic that experts would like to see improve in 2023. But the talent is there.
