When talking about leadership, who better than the New York Yankees legend to talk about? Under his guidance, Derek Jeter won five World Series titles for the New York Yankees. Known for his clutch performances, Jeter will remain one of the finest captains in the game.

When asked about the ingredients of a leader, Jeter pointed out that one has to perform well and then make the people believe that they are a good leader. The former Yankee said this while talking about Tom Brady.

“He is fun to watch, a Michigan guy. I follow Tom from his Ann Arbor days… One, you have to perform, and I think when you perform, people ultimately look at you being a leader. Tom does not make excuses, right?” Jeter said.

“What’s one thing you don’t want to say or have a leader that makes excuse. And then you also don’t have to talk about being a leader. I think you want people to respect you and if they respect you enough, then ultimately they may follow.”

Notably, at almost 45, Tom Brady is still going strong in the NFL. The Buccaneers quarterback holds the record to win Super Bowl for the most time (7).
