For 4 years, Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez were a definition of couple goals. They loved each other through good times and bad, no matter what. A-Rod and JLo were supportive of one another’s professional achievements as well. Most notably, you would find A-Rod attending concerts and events that JLo performed at.

But since A-Rod retired in 2016, a year before he started dating J.Lo, she wasn’t able to attend any of his games. This didn’t stop the two from playing baseball together. But on this occasion, Jennifer Lopez was the one who impressed A-Rod with her baseball skills.

On June 19th, 2018, Alex Rodriguez posted a video on Instagram in which you can see J.Lo batting. The video shows balls being thrown at J.Lo and her hitting them pretty well while showing off her batting skill. The effort was not in vain, as A-Rod can be heard in the background and he sounded impressed. “Wow. Nice Swing. Holy Sh*t! Damn. Oh my gosh, yes. Nice job, nice technique.”

The swings are well-timed and JLo properly connects with every single ball thrown at her. With A-Rod encouraging her at each hit, JLo looked unstoppable and batted very well. It was a nice way for the couple to spend time together and connect over baseball.

Like in this video, A-Rod and JLo spent a lot of time together engaging in various activities. The couple even spent time together as a family with A-Rod’s and JLo’s kids. Rodriguez and Lopez even got engaged and looked set on a happy life together.

But unfortunately, the relationship didn’t work out and the couple announced their split in a joint statement last April. Since then, Jennifer Lopez has gotten married to Ben Affleck and Alex Rodriguez is dating Jaclyn Cordeiro.

Why did A-Rod and J.Lo break up?

There is no confirmed reason for the breakup. A-Rod and J.Lo released a statement to announce their breakup in April last year. In it they didn’t specify a particular reason or incident that caused the split, simply stating that they were better as friends. Furthermore, they said that they would continue to work together on shared projects and support each other after the split.
