A wholesome surprise for a wholesome fan. Ichiro girl got a wonderful surprise on the pitch, when she was about to throw the ceremonial pitch. The iconic, Ichiro Suzuki, himself came on to the field to catch the first pitch by Ichiro girl, aka Iris Skinner. 

In celebration of Suzuki getting into the Mariner’s hall of fame Friday night, the Ichiro girl was called out to throw the ceremonial pitch. 

But, another surprise was waiting for her as she got herself ready to throw the first pitch of the game.

What was Iris’s reaction to seeing Ichiro Suzuki?

To say that she was surprised would be the least. She was so shocked that she started jumping up and down when she saw the legend himself coming to catch the pitch. 

Somehow after collecting herself, after throwing the pitch, Ichiro went to her and asked if she really didn’t know about him coming. 

She started jumping with joy once again and said, “No. No one told me! Can you please sign this? This is so awesome!!”

The celebration for Suzuki started off with a great surprise for their famous Ichiro’s girl. The happiness had got her face blooming, and it was just the same when she first met Ichiro. 

How did the Ichiro girl meet Ichiro for the first time?

During a game of Mariners, where Iris was one of the spectators, Ichi went to the fence to catch a ball. He was unable to pick the ball up. And while trying to do so, he accidentally touched Iris’ leg with his glove.

This could be considered common, but Iris’ reaction after it happened was what made her famous. 

According to her, “After the first interaction I had with Ichiro, the viral video, people did recognize me for a little bit but not so much anymore.”

She was so excited about what just happened, that she picked up her phone to let everyone know what happened. Also, she was freaking out with all the excitement and happiness she had. All her emotions were visible on her face.

She might not have met Ichiro, but the first interaction made her the Ichiro girl.
