Since Betts and Markle had already found out about their ancestral relationship, the two greeted by hugging each other.?
Per Fox News, Betts admitted he did not expect something like this. ?I saw on television that they were getting married. But I had no idea we were related .. That’s not something you expect to hear. But it?s interesting,? Mookie Betts said.

Noted genealogist, Jim McNiff, discovered this unknown relation between Betts and Markle. Betts also shared some information about his ancestral place in Virginia.
?I know from family stories that our relatives were from Virginia and settled in Alabama. That?s were I?m from,? he added. ?There were Betts all over that area. They worked on farms, things like that.?
