A game that is known as America’s favorite pastime, baseball is losing its fan following at a rather alarming rate. But in order to revive interest back in the game, the owner of Savannah Bananas, Jesse Cole, is working quite hard enough and has been successful at it as well. With soothing yellow uniforms and breaking out into dance in the middle of the field, Georgia’s Savannah Bananas are back at it once again.

The antics of the Bananas, whether it is throwing a pitch on fire, officiating a wedding, entering the field in a dance sequence, and others, have been successful at amusing the fans. The interest is coming back and has only increased. It is because the Bananas every time come up with something new to keep the fans engaged. And once again, they are back at it with an iconic bat.

Savannah Bananas brought out a bat unlike any other!
In last night’s game of the Bananas against the Party Animals, the hitter on the plate brought a giant yellow bat, which the commentator called “the largest bat in the history of America’s pastime.” Not only was the bat giant, but it was also enough for the player to bounce with the third. And so he did. And once again, the Bananas brought out something for the fans to enjoy and to come back for more.

From where did the need come to create the Bananas as they are?
Back in 2015, Georgia’s only minor league team left the city without baseball for the first time since 1972. Seeing the city not having a team and people losing interest in the game, Jesse Cole had an idea.
Cole and his wife emptied their bank accounts, brought together their savings, and created the Savannah Bananas. From the start, the Bananas’ aim is not only to play baseball but also to provide entertainment. Maybe that’s why the Bananas have more followers than combined some of the biggest teams in MLB.
