Baseball is by far one of the oldest yet most engaging sports in sports history. Although Major League Baseball is where most baseball fans feel home, the game of baseball is also quite popular in local leagues, especially when MLB is going through its off-season. Yes, Savannah Bananas of the Coastal Plain League has become a fan favorite for their new brand of baseball.

In an aim to bring baseball back to Georgia’s fifth largest city, a couple worked hard enough to create a team that has now become one of the biggest attractions in all of baseball. The only aim of the Bananas is to make baseball, and so far, they’ve been quite successful at it. What started a little six years ago has become a sensation that baseball fans look forward to most. While continuing the tradition of doing something new on the field every night, the Bananas’ pitcher lit a ball on fire before throwing it to the hitter in front of him. Notably, watching the video has left baseball fans on Twitter awestruck.
