Getting a chance to meet a favorite player is already a blessing within. But having lunch with them with family, and getting to see the games from a private area is something no one gets to have every day. But this is what happened with an NYPD veteran, Chris Moroni. The year that the Yankees shortstop, Captain Derek Jeter got retired was an emotional one not only for him but for every Yankee fan.

In the same year, 2014, Moroni made a donation and ended up meeting the shortstop. To say that Moroni lived the dream of every sports fan that day would not be wrong. It was a day that he would remember that day for the rest of his life.
How did Moroni get to meet Derek Jeter?
With a donation of $100 that NYPD officer Moroni, he got the chance to have lunch with the shortstop. At first, when he got the call that he won, just like any normal person, he did not believe it. This then led to the caller hearing some cuss words as Moroni thought he was getting pranked.
But it was reality. He took his son with him, his brother, and his father. He said, “This is really all for my son. For the rest of his natural life, if anybody tells him a baseball story, he wins. He’s got ’em beat.”
It all started the day Moroni heard of a promotional offer that by donating to Jeter’s Turn 2 Foundation, one lucky person would get the chance to spend a day with him. And it included lunch.
What did Moroni ask Jeter when he got to meet him?
As a fan, there are so many things a person would want to know about his favorite athlete. But keeping in mind that he wanted to keep some things private, he did not ask Derek Jeter about his marriage or relationship part.
