21-year-old baseball sensation Anthony Volpe is one of the very few ballplayers who achieved his childhood dream of playing for the New York Yankees at such a young age. Volpe made it to the Yankees farm system after getting selected in the 2019 Major League draft. After spending four years in the Yankees Minor League system, the Pinstripes front office invited Volpe to Spring Training.
And after outperforming Oswald Peraza and Isiah Kiner-Falefa in Spring Training, on March 26, the Bronx Bombers announced that Volpe will be featured on the Opening Day lineup at shortstop. And now when the Opening Day is here, the Yankee phenom has shared his excitement for his big day.
