The Yankees have been in great form as of late. But they lost their most recent game against the Baltimore Orioles in devastating fashion. Two Yankees legends went on to provide fans with a comic relief as their team suffered an enormous setback. These two legends, a former manager and his player, got into a truly hilarious situation.
Going into the series, the Yankees won the first game. But these last two losses were detrimental to their form. Furthermore, they lost a crucial series against division rivals, the Orioles. Luckily, fans were able to smile a bit as two Bombers legends created a funny incident.

Former New York Yankee Paul O’Neill, tried to FaceTime Joe Torre during the Bombers’ latest game
Former Yankees manager Joe Torre was at the team’s most recent game. During the game, former Bombers player Paul O’Neill, who works as a commentator, tried FaceTiming Torre. This led to a comical moment as the former player tried to contact his manager. Torre was fully focused on the game, and watching his former team play. Talkin’ Yanks shared a video of the incident on Twitter with fans reacting.

But unfortunately for Torre, Yankees lost to the Orioles, losing the series in the process. The team had also suffered an embarrassing defeat in the second game, also losing a Twitter war. It will be interesting to see how the Bombers come back from this loss. They now host the San Diego Padres in a home series they will look to win.
Joe Torre currently works in the Commissioner’s Office
Joe Torre has not managed since 2010, choosing to move away from his role. He joined the MLB Commissioner’s Office in 2011. Torre was named as a Special Assistant to Commissioner Rob Manfred in 2020, and continues to work in that role even today. He is a legend in baseball as a player, manager, and even commentator. Furthermore, his extensive work as an executive is also notable.
