Following the footsteps of Michael Jordan, Serena Williams, and LeBron James, MLB legend Derek Jeter has also come up with his sportswear brand ‘Greatness Wins.’ The former Yankees captain has collaborated with the NHL legend, Wayne Gretzky and UNTUKit founder, Chris Riccobono to launch the new brand.

Notably, Derek Jeter is a hot topic in the town nowadays. The recently released ESPN-produced docuseries have helped Jeter to grow his brand value. Not to forget that it has been over eight years since Jeter stepped into a ballpark in a Yankee uniform. But, Jeter is still a prominent face in American sports.

And since he is an enormous face in American sports, his image will also help his sportswear brand grow. Recently, Jeter opened up about the motive behind starting a clothing line for sports lovers.

Derek Jeter is not the first athlete to launch a sportswear brand. And given the competition in the market, it will be difficult for Jeter to establish ‘Greatness Wins’ as a trusted brand. However, he also has the backing of different people from different fields to make it a success story.

Apart from Jeter, Wayne Gretzky, and Chris Riccobono, the sportswear brand also has the American Ballet Theatre dancer, Misty Copeland, on the board. Each one of them is well-accomplished in their respective fields. And they will bring a unique value to the clothing line.

While talking about the sportswear brand, Jeter said he wants to take the athletic brand to the next level. And he seemed pretty confident while sharing the idea of the sportswear brand.

“We wanted to start an athletic brand built on consistency, performance, fit, and quality. And ultimately, you take the quality of athletic apparel to the next level from a performance perspective… People talk about greatness and achieving greatness…,” Derek Jeter said. “We just wanted to take it to the next level. And we are pretty excited about it,” he concluded.
