Opening Day is less than a week away and Spring Training is winding up, with teams ready to kick start their 2023 campaign. The Philadelphia Phillies are one of those teams, with star pitcher Aaron Nola set to be their Opening Day starter. The Philadelphia Phillies started the off-season with some great moves, such as signing Trea Turner to a $300 million deal. But Spring Training seems to be an unlucky period for the team. First, they lose Rhys Hoskins to a torn ACL, and now star pitcher Aaron Nola has halted extension talks. Talkin’ Baseball confirmed the news via Twitter, stating that Nola would become a free agent after the 2023 season.
