It is not that the Mets and Phillies share a rivalry like the Yankees and Red Sox, and the Dodgers and Padres do. Despite that, a veteran Mets broadcaster revealed he does not enjoy commentating on the Phillies games.

And this weekend, the NL East sides will play a three-game series in Citi Field. But the ace Mets broadcaster Keith Hernandez will not be available for the Mets-Phillies series, as he hates to watch the Phillies play.

And when Cohen asked Hernandez if he hates the Phillies, the Mets broadcaster said, “They never seem to disappoint. Over the years ? and they?re hot right now, so, I?d like to see them ? but as far as fundamentally, defensively, the Phillies have always been just not up to it.?

When talking about the Mets, they have become even stronger after Jacob deGrom?s return from his injury. With Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom, the Mets have two of the best pitchers playing for their side.
