YouTube sensation Mr. Beast dropped a new video on Saturday. This time it was extremely unique and something that the sports world loved. The video featured some of the world’s top athletes. From seven-time Super Bowl champ Tom Brady to soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, open golf champion Bryson DeChambeau, and Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles. From Major League Baseball, America’s favorite pastime—we had Bryce Harper!

The concept was bold—pitting everyday people against the pros and seeing how an average person stacks up. The stakes were huge because each challenger stood the chance of winning a whopping $100,000 if they beat the athlete. If they lost, however, the athlete could donate the money to any charity of their choice. Harper went head-to-head with an 11-year-old viral internet sensation, Big Justice. And it was, in one word—adorable.

Bryce Harper lost to an 11-year-old

To make things fair and square, Mr. Beast had it all planned out. Big Justice, aka the kid from the viral Costco Guys video, had to swing in a small league-sized fence. A stark contrast to a real MLB standard stadium where Harper would be hitting. The rules were simple: each competitor got ten swings to rack up their totals. Harper went first, and he crushed the balls out of the park. Mr. Beast said, “I think they need to make bigger stadiums for Bryce.” Well, he racked up four home runs, and Justice was nervous but had someone special cheering him on.

The person cheering Big Justice on with chants of “Come on” was none other than Bryce Harper! The Phillies star pulled a class act and was cheering Big Justice to crush the challenge. And well, Justice pulled off the challenge—he was able to win that whopping $100,000 prize and beat Bryce. Harper may have lost the challenge, but his class act won the hearts of Big Justice, his family, and several baseball fans—they showered plenty of love on him over social media. The Philadelphia Phillies star’s humble and selfless quality is also one of the major reasons his wife got attracted to him.

Kayla reveals the goofy side of Bryce Harper

Bryce Harper may not have won the World Series in 2024, but he has been winning the game of love with his wife Kayla for over a decade. The Phillies star often credits his wife for being his biggest support system, and it’s easy to see why. Just earlier this year, Kayla shared the reason her relationship was so special with Harper.

Kayla, in an interview with the Knot, mentioned, “He’s selfless, the most selfless guy ever. I think that’s what always attracted me to him. And he’s goofy and funny—he loves to play pranks on me, and as much as I get annoyed by it, I secretly love it—he’s just the best. I love him.” And this fact attests that Harper is as adorable in front as behind the cameras. The couple is faith-driven, and both are members of the Mormon Church. They tied the knot in 2016 with an intimate affair. In their day-to-day life, faith is central, and a family-first ethos is what they follow, and together they have three beautiful children.
