In a video that was shared by BaseballHistoryNut on Twitter, one can see the then-Pirates Manager Jim Leyland shouting at Bonds. The confrontation reportedly happened in Spring Training in 1991. Leyland started shouting at Bonds after the star reportedly questioned his manager’s authority.

BaseballHistoryNut shared the video and said, “Don’t f*ck with me. Jim Leyland wasn’t having any of it from Barry Bonds.” The whole video confrontation seemed a bit intense as Leyland shouted at his star player. Bonds, on the other hand, was quiet throughout the interaction and largely listened to what his manager was saying to him.

In the years after this confrontation, Bonds had a lot of success and became a baseball icon. He even got to meet other sporting legends like Mike Tyson. But despite all of his achievements, Bonds will most likely not make the Baseball hall of fame.

Why won’t Bonds make the Baseball Hall of Fame?

The reason that Barry Bonds is unlikely to make the Baseball Hall of Fame is because of his usage of steroids. The MLB legend is one of the greatest players to ever step into the diamond. No doubt about that! But his use of PEDs will keep him out of the Hall. Most players who have used steroids do not make it.
