Staying strong is something that pop icon Shakira excels at. The pop singer recently enjoyed a match between LA Dodgers and Washington Nationals at the Dodger Stadium with her kids. The singer shares two sons with Gerard Pique, a center-back for FC Barcelona, and is currently on vacation amidst the ongoing trials.

This news comes after the Colombian singer was warned by the Spanish prosecutors that she’d be facing a sentence in jail if she is found guilty of tax fraud.

The legal battle could send her to jail for 8 years

Shakira is accused of tax fraud in Spain. And, if found guilty, the prosecutors have warned her about going to jail for eight years or more. Besides this, she will also have to pay a fine of up to $24 million.

She has rejected a settlement deal last week. Furthermore, the prosecutors have filed six charges against her. On multiple occasions, she has denied any kind of wrongdoing, and according to her publicists in London, “(Shakira) has always cooperated and abided by the law, demonstrating impeccable conduct as an individual and a taxpayer.“

The Grammy award winner is going through a lot right now. She is in the middle of these allegations, her separation, and the custody battle with her ex-partner, Pique.
