The White Sox might be struggling between the lines this season. But off the field, they’ve managed to stay unexpectedly relevant. The White Sox’s consistent downfall in MLB
Last season was a record-breaker in MLB, with the White Sox achieving the most losses in a year (121). Fans might have thought it was the rock-bottom and the graph could only go up from there, but the team has sunk even further this season. All the hopes of a rebuild are out of the window.
The White Sox are at the bottom of AL Central, struggling with a 23-44 record. However, they have started the series against the Astros with a win. Is Pope bringing some positive energy to the camp? Well, the GM Chris Getz certainly thinks so.
But talking about the Sox’s poor run in MLB this season, their offensive woes have now reached historically poor levels. The team currently ranks 26th in MLB in runs scored (237). Moreover, they are ranked 29th in batting average (.222) as well, which paints a grim picture of a lineup that simply cannot produce.
