Even though Soto has officially become a Yankee, this is just for one year. Next year, the Childish Bambino enters free agency and it certainly will be an expensive one. Most reports have predicted that Soto’s free agency could possibly touch that number. There are strong reasons to believe they could be right, especially because Soto is already earning a $31 million salary this year. Is there a reason to believe he won’t at least try to match that next year? 

And at just 26, he’d probably get a long-term contract, and he has already rejected a 15 year, $440 million offer from the Washington Nationals. So, a big deal is all but guaranteed here. The fun part? The Yankees fans already know this. But they’re ready to go all in on the La Fiera!
