With spring training already in motion and preparation for the upcoming season picking up the pace, life is back to normal for baseball fans. Even though the regular season has not started, the New York Yankees fans witnessed a very rare moment from their skipper, Aaron Boone. Notably, Boone has been heavily criticized for his managerial style and skills in the past. However, a recent rare moment of Boone on his 50th birthday has sent the fanbase buzzing. 

As Aaron Judge stood behind the cage, Boone took it upon himself to showcase some of his skills. Coincidentally, it was also Boone’s 50th birthday. Needless to say, he left every ball player and fan shocked by his immense hitting skills, even after his retirement over a decade ago.

On February 23, 2010, Boone announced that he’d be retiring from playing in the big league and would work as ESPN’s analyst. Since then, whether Boone has picked up a baseball bat or not is still unclear. Under his management from the 2018 season, the Yankees have remained in the top 3 of the American League. However, they have failed to play a World Series, let alone win. Thereby making Boone the target of sturdy criticism by MLB’s one of the largest fan bases.

Nonetheless, the recent depiction of still having the ability to hit home runs has the fans amazed. They are considering if Boone would show similar skills if he were to take the place of any athlete on the roster.
