Ever since his debut for the New York Yankees, Aaron Judge has had some really impressive seasons. He has built a reputation for being a top power hitter and clutch player. Furthermore, the Yankees’ captain has broken numerous records while representing his team. Most recently, after his heroic performance against the Tampa Bay Rays, Judge joined Alex Rodriguez and 4 other Bronx Bombers legends in a top list.
Judge had an especially memorable 2022 season, winning the AL MVP award. But this year has been a bit tougher, with injuries and inconsistent form hampering him. Despite these roadblocks, the Yankees’ captain managed to join a top list with his recent performance.

Hitting multiple home runs in a game is not an easy feat. Most recently, Aaron Judge did it against the Tampa Bay Rays, smashing two big ones out of the park. The Yankees’ captain recorded his 29th multi-home run game, tying Alex Rodriguez for 5th most in franchise history. Judge now trails only 4 other legends in this category, namely Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Lou Gehrig, and Joe DiMaggio. Baseball writer Eric Boland shared this top list on Twitter.

Although Judge and the Yankees have struggled to gain a foothold this season, their recent win showcases their resilience. Furthermore, it also puts on display the team’s ability to beat strong opponents despite a badly constructed roster.

With a 9-8 win against the Rays orchestrated by Aaron Judge, the Yankees climb off the bottom of the AL East. This is a massive relief for the team as they have gone through some difficult periods of form this season. Furthermore, they are not far behind their division rivals.
