Can this new record help the Oakland Athletics to stop the Vegas move?

The Oakland A’s are already on their way to challenge the New York Mets’ for their inaugural season record of 40-120. As the team approaches breaking this record, a lesser-known yet important record might also get broken.?

In 80 games played this season, the Athletics have put 46 different players on the field. Which is by far the most in the majors. But from the looks of it, they’re not far away from breaking the single-season record of different players. Until now, National League’s Chicago Cubs holds the record of putting 69 players on the field in a season. And since the Athletics are only 23 players and half a season away from breaking this record, there’s a good chance of them doing so.?

How did the Reverse Boycott go for Athletics?

To try and stop the move to Vegas from happening, Athletics fans showed the A’s owner, John Fisher, and MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred that fans are not the problem behind the team’s terrible play. Instead, it was the management that had not paid much attention to the team. Hence, the fanbase organized a “Reverse Boycott” on June 13.?
