The 25-year-old player has had a tremendous rookie season. The season has earned the rookie the award of becoming the Most Valuable Player of the American League’s Championship Series. In his rookie year, the shortstop is going to be playing the World Series against the Philadelphia Phillies.?

The rookie shortstop’s first baseball memory involves another shortstop. Born in the Dominican Republic, Pe?a’s memory of the game is from there only.

“On a baseball field, Dominican republic, I remember their shortstop did not have their glove, so he asked me to borrow mine, and the whole game was just switching gloves, and that’s my first memory,”?said Pe?a.

How did Jeremy Pe?a help his team win the ALCS?

Big moments make big players, Jeremy Pe?a stepped up to the challenge with a three-run home drive in Game 4 of the ALCS, putting the Astros ahead. Pe?a went 3-for-4 in Game 1, 1-for-4 in Game 2, and 0 for 5 in Game 3. In the first game, his solo home shot came in the seventh inning, giving the Astros a 4-1 lead and plenty of cushion for the bullpen.
