Entering the wildcard round against the New York Mets, the Padres won and stepped into the playoffs. An even bigger surprise followed as the Padres next defeated the arch-rivals Los Angeles Dodgers in a postseason series. On Wednesday, the Padres catcher Austin Nola played against the Phillies’ pitcher Aaron Nola, who happens to be his brother. A.J. Nola, the father of the star siblings, attended the game with his wife at Petco Park wearing both team jerseys. As is obvious, it was a sign of support for both his sons. At one point, MLB reporter Ken Rosenthal caught up with A.J. Nola for a brief interview.

Speaking about the two jerseys, A.J. Nola said, “You know, I had a thought to wear two jerseys when Aaron’s pitching. You know, I had Aaron’s jersey on after Austin’s jersey. When Austin was playing and Aaron wasn’t, you know, I had switched them around. So I had to keep that going, you know.”
