Playing MLB for 20 long years as the New York Yankees shortstop, he built a legacy to idolize. Becoming a 14-time All-Star player, Jeter remarkably won five World Series championships.

Derek Jeter never thought about having a family during his relevance as a player. He didn’t want any external factors to affect his concentration toward achieving sporting triumph. But he had a life-changing experience in 2012 when he met supermodel Hannah Davis, who later became his wife. In a recent interview, Jeter admitted to being selfish in his younger days and mentioned how his wife altered him.
Jeter said, speaking on the Drinking Champs podcast, “I just knew that I was way too selfish during my career. Way too selfish, it was all about me. And it wouldn’t have been fair to my significant other or kids. The greatest thing I would say about my parents is they were always present. And everything I did, me and my sister, they were present, they were there.”
Jeter further said, “And I always wanted to be there for my kids as well. So I wouldn’t say purposely I didn’t meet the right person. But I knew that for me in order, it’s got to be the right time for you as for your significant other. And thank God I met my wife when I did towards the end of my career.”

Derek bid farewell to baseball in 2014 and married Hannah in 2016. The couple has welcomed three daughters since then. They live happy old-fashioned life with limited social media publicity.
