At a recent baseball game, a spectator in the stands was photographed wearing a strange collection of clothes. While his cap said Yankees, his t-shirt read Red Sox. To fans of either team, it was pure blasphemy. While it’s unclear what game the person is attending, either in the Bronx or Boston, others are clearly averse to his fashion choices.

Another bizarre instance took place back in April when a Red Sox fan decided to show up at Yankee Stadium in his team’s colors. The funny thing is, the Yankees weren’t even playing the Boston team! The game was against the San Francisco Giants, and the crowds brutally mocked the man.

In this latest instance as well, a Twitter user posted a picture of the man with the caption, “Arrest this man.” And the rest clearly agreed.

Disrespect is not tolerated when it comes to baseball. And fans of each team decided to take it personally when the above picture went viral on social media. From threats to expletives, they rained down curses on the poor fan, who probably didn’t know what he stirred up. Or was it intentional?

Some wondered if he was simply confused about his loyalties.

Perhaps it should be noted that neither team is doing well this season, plagued by underperformance. Sadly, the only thing they’re competing for is the bottom of the AL East while fans keep hoping for a miracle to save them.
