Recently, after the All-Star game, Ohtani stated, “Every time I come here (to Seattle), the fans are passionate; they’re really into the game. It’s very impressive. I spent a couple of off-seasons in Seattle, so I like the city.” As the athlete highlighted his liking for the city and its passion for the game.

Ohtani, who is making a whopping $30 million this season, can also join Seattle due to the influence of Ichiro Suzuki, the Japanese baseball legend whose career bloomed under the Mariners. All in all, Ohtani’s primary aim is to play for a team capable of reaching the playoffs. As the athlete showed his dissatisfaction with the Angels.

After the Angels once again failed to make the playoffs, Ohtani stated his dissatisfaction with the situation. Ohtani, a potential postseason candidate, has dropped signals in free agency about joining a team capable of making the playoffs. In an interview with SNY, the player stated through his translator, “Yeah, those feelings get stronger year by year. It stinks to lose. He wants to win.”
