2023 has barely started but somehow it’s already the second month of the year. Most of us have been grappling with new year’s resolutions and making the most out of every day. But it looks like MLB legend Albert Pujols has had the very best start to the year after an emotional end to 2022.

The last season saw the former Cardinals slugger retiring after an illustrious career of 22 seasons. Nicknamed ‘The Machine’ for his immense contact-hitting ability, the baseball world was sad to see him go. But in addition to his professional life, Pujols went through a few bumps in his personal life as well. After splitting up from his wife of 22 years, Deidre Pujols, the former first baseman must have had a hard time with all the changes. But now it looks like Pujols has found love again.

Albert Pujols has apparently tied the knot with his girlfriend Nicole Fernandez

In October 2022, there were reports of new lady love in Pujols’ life. Nicole Fernandez is a journalist as well as the daughter of the former president of the Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernandez. She posted a picture of the two, captioning it, “Here I am baby…signed, sealed, delivered… I’m yours ❤️💌🎼” While it’s unclear whether the two got married or engaged, it’s certain something major is happening behind the scenes.

Rumors swirled about a relationship between the two when Pujols hit his 700th homer on 11th Sept. 2022 and Fernandez came forward to congratulate him on social media. She posted a story with a cute picture of the two, and congratulated him, “Thankful for being able to be part of this journey by your side. Felicidades, Tito, te amo ❤️”
