The fortune of an MLB team can change in a heartbeat. No team knows this better than the New York Yankees, led by Aaron Judge. The team has experienced a turn in fortunes after a difficult start to the season. In May, they dominated, with the captain leading the way through his fantastic play. Most recently, Yankees fans were ecstatic as Judge was awarded for his fantastic batting displays.

Aaron Judge picks up Player of the Week award after amazing form
The Yankees have picked up some momentum as the month of May came around. This coincided with the return of Aaron Judge from injury, and some incredible play from him. But his play has gone to a whole other level over the last week or so. In recognition of that, Judge was named the MLB’s American League Player of the Week. Talkin’ Yanks shared the news of his award on Twitter, also mentioning details of his batting achievements.

The fortune of the Yankees really changed with their captain’s return. Of the 11 games that Judge has played in, the team has won 8. Furthermore, their batting lineup has looked much more effective with him in it. He recently explained how he has been able to remain focused since returning from his hip injury.

Aaron Judge has revealed that he has been able to focus on playing well because of many things. Notably, he credited the Yankees’ batting lineup, especially Anthony Rizzo, for helping him stay in the zone. Having a batter whose in good form like Rizzo has helped. Furthermore, he has said that the most important thing is to hit the ball that comes his way. This strategy seems to have worked thus far, looking at his current form.
