The team has experienced a turn in fortunes after a difficult start to the season. In May, they dominated, with the captain leading the way through his fantastic play. Most recently, Yankees fans were ecstatic as Judge was awarded for his fantastic batting displays. 

Since returning from injury, the Yankees’ captain has been in great form. Judge has been an integral part of the Bronx Bombers’ ongoing run of good form. With this recent award, his efforts have been recognized.

The Yankees have picked up some momentum as the month of May came around. This coincided with the return of Aaron Judge from injury, and some incredible play from him. But his play has gone to a whole other level over the last week or so. In recognition of that, Judge was named the MLB’s American League Player of the Week. Talkin’ Yanks shared the news of his award on Twitter, also mentioning details of his batting achievements. 

In the Tweet, Talkin’ Yanks said, “Aaron Judge has been named MLB’s American League Player of the Week! He went 11-for-22 with five home runs, two doubles and a 1.894 OPS in six games 🔥”. Notably, these stats have also produced wins for the Yankees as they climb the AL East.

Notably, he credited the Yankees’ batting lineup, especially Anthony Rizzo, for helping him stay in the zone. Having a batter whose in good form like Rizzo has helped. Furthermore, he has said that the most important thing is to hit the ball that comes his way. This strategy seems to have worked thus far, looking at his current form.
