After spending ten years at the Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers, A-Rod joined the New York Yankees in the 2004 season. The Yankees and A-Rod helped each other grow. It was like a match made in heaven. He earned his legendary status while playing for the Pinstripes.
Known for their championship mindset, the Yankees had not won a World Series title since the 2000 season. And after the arrival of Alex, everyone expected him to help the Yankees win the World Series. But they could not do it until the 2009 season. It took almost five years for Alex to win a World Series with the Yankees.

Recently A-Rod opened up about that World Series win. He said that winning is the hardest thing he has ever done in his life.
“In order to win a championship, the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life is to win a World Championship. There is so much sacrifice,” said Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez.
