‘Sorry for Your Dad’- Derek Jeter Trolls New York Yankees Fan on Twitter Debut

The Captain has announced his arrival into the virtual world in style. Notably, after years of waiting, the New York Yankees’ iconic captain Derek Jeter made his Twitter debut lately. And how? Known for his down-to-earth nature and humbleness, the MLB Hall of Famer did not even hesitate to troll a Yankees fan.

Having played for over 20 years of baseball, Derek Jeter has ruled an era in MLB. He is one of the very few players who have played for a single franchise throughout their professional careers. During his captaincy, the New York Yankees achieved new heights in Major League Baseball.

Not only for the Pinstripes, but Jeter left his mark in MLB as one of the most successful players of all time. During his time at the Brox, Jeter won five World Series for the Pinstripes. The last time the Yankees won a World Series was under his captaincy in the 2009 season.

Derek Jeter has the best reply to a fan’s father

When Derek Jeter made his Twitter debut, the Yankees legend went back in the time and responded to some old tweets on him. In one of the tweets, a fan shared the experience when his mother got to meet Jeter in person, and his father did not.

The tweet said, “My mom just met Derek Jeter and is all giddy and excited. My dad is sulking in the corner with wounded pride and jealousy.”

Reacting to this tweet, Jeter hilariously replied and said, “Sorry for your Dad! It’s probably not the first time, he has been sulking in the corner for something your mom did.”

He answered a few other questions, too. It has not been even two days since he made his Twitter debut, and the Yankees legend is ready to cross the 300K mark of followers on the microblogging site.

Debuted in the 1995 season for the Pinstripes, Jeter bid farewell to the game as a Yankee in the 2014 season. Considering his legendary career, MLB inducted him into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2020. He became one of the many Yankees to get this honor.
