Imagine being a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer and perhaps one of the most important players in baseball’s recent history. Just thinking about it gives you a high feeling but now imagine being humbled by your young daughter. Quite hilarious, right? Well, one wonders if it’s as hilarious when it happens to you as it did with Derek Jeter. 

The legendary shortstop recently posted a hilarious video that sent the entire internet on a collective “Aww that’s so cute.” However, that wasn’t the only thing being said. Fans found it hilarious that even The Great Derek Jeter had to experience such tender moments. Even his sister Sharlee Jeter joined in on the fun and trolled her brother. 

In the video, Jeter was driving his car with his daughter sitting in the back. “Stop daddy, stop daddy!” echoed through the car as Jeter wondered what was he doing. Every time he looked at her through the rear-view mirror, she’d tell him to stop. In the end, Jeter had not option but to laugh at the ridiculousness of the situation. The video immediately went viral with fans enjoying this wholesome family moment for Captain Clutch.

However, it was the comment of his sister that caught everyone’s attention. In a typical sibling banter, Sharlee mocked Jeter by saying, “Stop Derek. Leave her alone. Maybe she doesn’t even want you look at her.” However, hers wasn’t the only hilarious comment on the post. Fans couldn’t help but relate to Jeter’s struggle.

Some were even glad that finally their lifestyle and routine matched their idols. In a way, the entire comment section showed how despite differences in fame and success – basic parental experiences remain the same for everyone.

“You’re breathing” Hannah and Derek Jeter send fans on memory lane 

The most hilarious part of the video came in when Jeter asked “what am I doing?” To this, his wife Hannah quipped “You’re breathing.” The New York Yankees legend couldn’t help but laugh at the reply. The fans too had a similar reaction to the entire situation.  “If even Derek Jeter is being told to stop talking by his kids then  I’m doing okay,” a fan commented. Certainly, no one can win against their kids, not even a superstar like Jeter.
