During a Saturday Night Show in Las Vegas, JLo managed to hurt herself with the mic. After her performance, she found her then-boyfriend Alex Rodriguez waiting for her backstage. While the pop star started to explain the accident, A-Rod kissed her injured spot, which left the remaining backstage crew in awe of the couple.

A-Rod said, “It was Saturday Night in Vegas, and you guys killed it. And you [JLo] showed why you’re a champion. After going down, you still came back up and had the best show so far.” A-Rod added, “I’m so proud of everyone and whether every time I see a show, they keep getting better, and better, and better. You guys were amazing.” 

The Yankee shortstop’s mini-speech leaves the crew with a smile on their face before they all started cheering. JLo responded to A-Rod by saying, “Thank you Papi,” before the couple started walking away together.

Eventually, A-Rod also started calling games for ESPN and Fox and is currently a part of the postseason broadcast with Fox Sports alongside Frank Thomas, Kevin Burkhardt, and David Ortiz.
