With a wonderful Opening Day on March 30th, the 2023 MLB season has kicked off in style. Fans have been waiting for their favorite stars to play for a few months. One of the more highly anticipated teams is the New York Yankees, led by newly appointed captain Aaron Judge. The hype is at an all-time high and the expectations are even higher.

The Yankees have delivered in their Opening Day game, taking a 5-0 win over the San Francisco Giants. More importantly, Judge has started the season with a bang and looks to be carrying on from last year.

Aaron Judge smashed the first home run of the 2023 MLB season
In 2022, Aaron Judge hit 62 home runs to break the AL single-season home run record. The New York Yankees captain has started 2023 with a home run as well. He hit the first of the 2023 MLB season, in the bottom of the first inning. Judge also scored the Yankees’ first runs of the season. From when he signed his $360 million contract to the last day of Spring Training, he has shown commitment and determination.
