Athletes are no strangers to injuries and even the best of them can be affected. At the recent New York Yankees vs Minnesota Twins game, Aaron Judge went down in an awkward second-inning slide. It was something that could have turned serious but the captain got up and finished the game.

Judge has been a much-talked-about ballplayer ever since he started playing in the major leagues. But his popularity skyrocketed after the 2022 season. Not only did All-Rise break the AL single-season home run record, last set in 1961, but also became the AL MVP for the second time. And although Judge is no stranger to injuries, the newest captain has become an integral part of the team that they can’t afford to lose. Fortunately, an MLB reporter recently gave a hopeful update.

According to Bryan Hoch, things are looking good for Aaron Judge

“Well there’s the most important question of the day, right? All indications are he’s okay. I wouldn’t be surprised if there maybe is some swelling or some soreness overnight. Looked like he fell on it pretty good but the fact they didn’t X-Ray it or MRI it – that’s a really good sign. And he obviously finished the game,” Hoch told his followers, who amount to almost 52000.

The reporter went on to say, “So yeah I think there’s no doubt they thought about taking him out of the game but Judge wanted to stay in there. And it’s a good sign he was able to do it. So don’t be surprised if he gets a day off in Texas because earlier today, even before the game happened, Boone was already talking about how Judge has played all 25 games so far.” Looks like everything is alright for the outfielder for now.

“It would have been a sad birthday, I think, if we’d gotten swept here in Minnesota,” All-Rise told MLB.com. “The guys showed up; they went out there and did their job. We’ve got to build off this and keep it going against a good team in Texas.”

Judge sure sounds proud of his teammates!
