In the final game of Pool B at the World Baseball Classic, South Korea showed no mercy as they unleashed their frustration from previous losses on team China. It was a game of bunts and blasts and it was clear that the team Korea meant business. They shattered China’s defense, scoring an incredible 22 runs – a feat that had never been seen before in the history of the World Baseball Classic.
The only thing more impressive than their score was their complete control of the game. It was a lopsided affair, with China struggling to keep up as Korea’s hitters ran riot. Fans were left astounded as they watched the Koreans drive in a ruthlessly efficient performance, but after a while, the excitement wore off. Now the social media chatter is alive as fans have chimed in with their opinions.

Team Korea wrapped up the Pool B games, with a massive record of 22 runs in a single game. Unfortunately, despite their epic showing, Korea fell short in the tournament, losing to Japan and Australia, who will advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament. But the team did finish 3rd in the pool, so they don’t have to qualify for the 2026 World Baseball Classic again.
