Fernando Tatis Jr. has faced a lot of obstacles after being banned for his PED usage. He missed 80 games between last season and the beginning of the 2023 season. But despite all of these obstacles, he has made a triumphant return to baseball. Most recently, he showed his cool side while dealing with New York Yankees fans. 

Tatis Jr. has played well for a star that missed all of the 2022 season and 20 games this year. But the San Diego Padres have struggled to win games. The star outfielder showed off a new skill while facing off with Yankees fans.

Since returning, Fernando Tatis Jr. has dealt with all kinds of fans taunting and calling him names. During the Padres’ most recent game against the Yankees, this was the case as well. Fans chanted ‘steroids’ while trying to taunt Tatis Jr., but he took it in his stride. In fact, the Padres star started conducting the orchestra of fans, showing off a new skill. Despite the remarks and jeers directed his way, Tatis Jr. kept his cool, acting like a conductor. Jomboy Media shared a video of the incident on Twitter. 

In the Tweet, they said, “Tatis playing conductor as the Yankee Stadium crowd chants ‘steroids’ 💀”. This was a cool response from the Padres’ outfielder as he warmed up and worked on his stretching. These supporters at Yankee Stadium failed to provoke him.

Other fans trolled the Yankees supporters.

But Tatis Jr. managed to prove his worth with his actions as well. He smashed a home run while helping the Padres secure a 5-1 victory. It was a truly massive moment as he silenced all of his critics in Yankee Stadium. He has truly been in some decent form this year, even getting multiple big hits in a single game. Furthermore, Padres fans have welcomed him back with open arms.

Tatis Jr. received loud cheers on his Petco Park return

Fernando Tatis Jr. has ignored all the jeers and taunts from the opposing team’s fans. This has been possible because of the support he has received from Padres fans upon his return. During his first home game since the suspension, he received loud cheers at Petco Park. The home fans welcomed him back and gave him much-needed support. Since then, he has shown some good batting, but the Padres need to win more games. Only time will tell whether they can turn their season around.
