LA Angels star Shohei Ohtani has earned himself quite a reputation in the game after playing for four years in the big league. Famously known as Shotime, the Angels’ two-way phenom finished second in the 2022 AL MVP race. Although the Angels could not clinch a postseason berth last season, Ohtani is already gearing up for the upcoming season to have an even better season this year.

The Japanese phenom posted a short video of practicing his pitches on Instagram, which then got reposted by the official Twitter account of MLB. Soon as the video got on Twitter, it sent the fans into a frenzy for getting excited watching Ohtani on the diamond.

Saying that the fans are excited to see Ohtani in the ballpark would be an understatement. The race between Shotime and All Rise for AL MVP was a close call and garnered long debates on the internet. The Angels phenom’s fans were devastated that their favorite player did not win MVP for the second time in a row. But looking at their star player’s preparation for the upcoming season has once again made them excited and cheerful for a great season ahead.

Some fans were more than happy waiting for Ohtani to be on the diamond. Whereas there are some fans, who are not happy that MLB chose to post only one player while commenting that he’s not the only athlete getting ready for the season to start.
Before MLB season starts, another tournament is waiting for Shohei Ohtani
The regular season of Major League Baseball is set to start on March 30. But a couple of weeks before that, the World Baseball Classic is beginning on March 8th. There, USA-based teams will fight to defend their crown. However, Ohtani will be trying to take the crown from the USA.
