Shohei Ohtani Sweepstakes: Texas Rangers or Los Angeles Dodgers?

Shohei Ohtani trade discussions are stirring up excitement in the baseball world. Everyone wants the Los Angeles Angels superstar, who is expected to secure one of the greatest deals of the season. Several teams, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Texas Rangers, San Diego Padres, and many others are keeping their eyes on the superstar. Even though it’s confirmed that Ohtani will not be pitching in 2024, several analysts believe it won’t significantly impact the predicted $500 million. With so many teams on the list, which ones are at the top?

The team holding the 2023 World Series title, the Texas Rangers may be on the list of Ohtani picks. With the taste of winning fresh in the club, the Rangers are ready to go for the two-way phenom. According to reports, the Texas-based team even wanted Shotime at the tread deadline back in August but of course, the Angels refused.

On the other hand, Ohtani’s favorite team list could also include the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Japanese sensation has apparently expressed his preference for West Coast teams and of course, not many are better than the Dodgers. The team is well-rounded for players like Shohei Ohtani and is in desperate need of a good pitching staff anyway. Even if the two-way player won’t be back on the mound next season, he might be worth investing in.
