The New York Yankees are certainly exploding all over the ballpark right now. Actually, the better description would be that their “Big 3” are playing exactly like the fans hoped they would. From Aaron Judge‘s deadly recent form to Juan Soto’s tremendous consistency to Giancarlo Stanton’s Thor-esque powers, the trio is dominating in a way we’ve rarely seen before. What’s more, they showcased those powers once again against the San Diego Padres.

In a game where the Yankees offense destroyed Yu Darvish-led Padres, it was this trio that shined the brightest. With all three of them hitting massive homers (Soto and Judge going back-to-back), they’ve created a competition of sorts between themselves. However, when the dust settled something quite absurd was noticed about them. Something that has increased the hopes of even the most cynic of the Yankees fans.

After last night’s game, the trio’s homer count is astonishing – Aaron Judge (16), Juan Soto (14), and Giancarlo Stanton (13). That adds up to an absurd 43 home runs being scored between these three Yankees superstars. The amazing part? 4 teams in MLB have scored fewer home runs than these three Bombers. However, that isn’t even close to the level that Judge, Soto, and Stanton are operating at.

According to MLB.com, those four teams are the Chicago White Sox (36), St. Louis Cardinals (41), Detroit Tigers (41), and the Tampa Bay Rays (42). But that doesn’t mean that all of the other teams are ahead of the trio. There are four more teams that are tied with these three – the Washington Nationals. Toronto Blue Jays, Miami Marlins, and the Colorado Rockies.

So in total, Judge, Soto, and Stanton are competing (and almost winning) against 8 MLB teams when it comes to home runs. What’s more – two among them are their direct rivals in AL East. That’s just absurd and even Aaron Judge was hyped up about it.

Not Big Three but Big 26 – Aaron Judge refuses to take credit

Though Judge was all hyped up about all three of them hitting homers, the New York Yankees captain refrained from calling themselves the “big 3.” Instead during his post-game conference, All Rise decided to credit his entire team and once again proved that he is one of the best leaders in the Yankees squad. “We’re a big nine, a big 26!” Aaron Judge said.

“We got nerve. This clubhouse is a big part. You would never narrow it down to just three guys. Every single guy is a stud in their own right and we’re part of something special for sure,” Judge finished. Though the captain remained humble, one can imagine their opponents referring to this trio as the big three. In the end, the Pinstripes look scary again. That is something that nearly every fan dreamt of when this season started.
