Yes! After several months of battle with cancer, the baseball athlete made a stunning return to the diamond. And notably left fans from all over cheering for him.

How did the return of Liam Hendriks go?
The White Sox ace got diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the start of the year. With a pillar of strength in him, the ace continued to show off his antics in spring training. Then, a week ago, the closer announced that after months of battle, he is finally cancer free and in remission. Needless to say, this news made every fan of his and every teammate and family member happier than ever.
Even while fighting this brutal disease, Hendriks did not stop thinking about baseball. And now, when he made a comeback to the rehab outing in Arizona, he showed every baseball enthusiast what he was capable of. On Friday’s outing, Liam went ahead and got four strikeouts. Hence, while posting this news, MLB wrote on their Twitter handle, “Cancer won’t stop Liam Hendriks. He took the mound in a rehab outing Friday in Arizona and struck out four. The comeback continues!”

Watching him beating cancer and then being back on the mound already, his teammates are nothing but proud of him for being this strong.
