How can you not be romantic about baseball?  From some of the greatest stories to heartfelt moments, baseball transcends sports to become a part of its fans’ psyche. From old to young, no one can escape its magic. The recently finished London Series between the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Mets once again gave a glimpse of that allure. But this time it was through an adorable 8-year-old Phillies fan.

Famous Youtuber Zachery Dereniowski (aka MD Motivator) recently posted a wholesome reel on his Instagram account. There he gave two options to an 8-year-old kid named Mason – 1000 Pounds or a mystery baseball. Mason revealed that he loved baseball and the Phillies, so he chose the ball. Later it was revealed that the young kid and his family were invited to watch the London Series game and meet Phillies stars due to his choice.

In an extremely wholesome moment, Mason visited the BP of the Phillies stars. “Hello, Trea Turner!” he said in a gentlemanly way that immediately melted the hearts of nearly every fan who watched the clip. The 8-year-old had shared previously that he dreams of being a baseball player when he grows up. However, how he fell in love with baseball was a bittersweet tale.
