Shohei Ohtani has been the best thing to happen for the game of baseball in the last few years. It has been barely four years since Ohtani made his major league debut, and the Angels’ star has already established himself as one of the best in the game.
Being a two-way player is his biggest strength. And it is not that there have not been two-way players before, but not like Shohei Ohtani. The Japanese slugger is equally good from both ends. A dynamic force from the mound and a hitting machine from the plate, Shohei Ohtani is a Rolls-Royce of Major League Baseball.

Recently, former MLB pitcher, Randy Johnson, heaped praise on the Angels’ star for his consistent performances from both ends. Notably, the reigning American League MVP is having even a better season this year.
Shohei Ohtani is all class
It is a pity that a player as good as him plays for a mid-table team, the LA Angels. Had Shohei Ohtani been playing for teams like the New York Yankees, LA Dodgers, or even the Red Sox, he would have been more successful.
Recently, a video has been roaming on Twitter, in which MLB Hall of Famer, Randy Johnson, praised Ohtani for being the best two-way player. When asked if there will be another Shohei Ohtani in the game, Johnson replied, “The next Shohei? I think there is only one (Ohtani), and Babe Ruth.”

Ohtani possesses such a class. He is still in his 30s, and he draws a comparison with MLB icon, Babe Ruth.

When talking about his current season, Ohtani has raised his bar compared to the last season. With 26 home runs from the plate, and 157 strikeouts from the mound with an ERA less than 3, Shohei Ohtani is in a league of his own.
Knowing that the Yankees slugger Aaron Judge is having his career-best season this year, and is the favorite to win the AL MVP, Ohtani is also making a solid case for the same.
