Before Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez had brief starry romantic flings, he was a happily married man. He was married to a woman named Cynthia Scurtis. ‘A-Rod’ and Cynthia share two daughters. Post-divorce, Cynthia once got into a verbal battle with Jennifer ‘J-Lo’ Lopez.

Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez is a popular baseball player famous for his stint with the New York Yankees. ‘A-Rod’ is a 14-time All-Star. He also won the World Series trophy with the Yankees in 2009. While Cynthia Scurtis is a former psychology teacher and Jennifer ‘J-Lo’ Lopez is a pop music megastar plus actress. 

Cynthia and ‘A-Rod’ maintained good ties even post-divorce. Cynthia had no problems with any of Rodriguez’s girlfriends, either. But that was until ‘J-Lo’ came along.

Post the divorce with his wife Cynthia Scurtis in 2008, Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez has dated many high-profile women. From actresses, supermodels, and popstars to tech billionaires, ‘A-Rod’ has sailed his love boat in every direction. Though Cynthia didn’t have celebrity status like many of those women, she got along well with almost all of them. 

But that was also partly because none interfered in legal matters of ‘A-Rod’ and Cynthia. That was until ‘J-Lo’ paired up with ‘A-Rod’. It was already a mutually agreed decision for ‘A-Rod’ to pay child-support fees to Cynthia. But like many times in her past, ‘J-Lo’ took matters in her own hands with ‘A-Rod’. In a strange twist, ‘J-Lo’ advised ‘A-Rod’ to curtail the monthly child support payment from $100,000 to $10,000 per month.

The intrusion from ‘J-Lo’ clearly hurt Cynthia. According to a source, speaking on the Lopez issue, Cynthia stated, “All I can tell you, there’s been a shift, and I’m not sure what to attribute it to. Alex has dated some wonderful women since our divorce, many of whom have had positive relationships with our children. Alex and I have worked well trying to create a stable environment for our daughters and there has never been an issue. Until now.”

Cynthia further added saying, “I would never try to disparage anyone Alex is dating. It’s ridiculous. I try very hard to stay uninvolved. The subject of Lopez is sensitive and better left not commented on in any way.” 

Where is the trio now?

Cynthia married a real estate advisor, Angel Nicolas, in 2021. Whereas ‘A-Rod’ and ‘J-Lo’ broke up in 2021. ‘J-Lo’ rekindled her love with old flame in actor, Ben Affleck, and they married in 2022. Meanwhile, ‘A-Rod’ is a single father to his two daughters from the wedlock.
