The docuseries has been filmed like a diary entry revealing lots of previously unknown information about Jeter’s life. Jeter has talked about the best and the worst experiences of his life. In a recent interview on ESPN, Jeter discussed the present challenges for baseball and the future of the sport.

Jeter’s docuseries titled?‘The Captain’?got released on ESPN and ESPN+ on July 18. So Jeter and ESPN recently conducted an interview, and Jeter talked about various topics related to his playing career, personal life, and the state of baseball. He shared his thoughts about the present challenges that baseball is facing and how to counter those.?

Jeter focused on how to best introduce the sport to the future generation. Since the kids are more into instant gratification, they can’t bother to spend too much time watching an average game. Jeter pointed out how the public in some places is only concerned about winning. But Jeter highlighted that in order to survive, the sport needs to be competitive and entertaining.?

Speaking to host Hannah Storm at ESPN, Jeter quoted, “So I think there has to be some changes, a destination an entertainment destination. It’s not just strictly about wins and losses on the field for most fans. Now you can’t say that here in New York. In New York, it’s wins and losses.”?
