However, former New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia and his family’s extremely popular Halloween traditions didn’t face any interruption and their Halloween plans continued like they always do.

The lefty pitcher, who concluded his career with over 3,000 strikeouts and a long list of accolades, celebrates a grand Halloween every year with the rest of his family. He uploaded a picture that includes his wife, and four kids, with all the members specially dressed for Halloween.

CC Sabathia and his family’s Halloween tradition continue…

Similarly, this year as well, the special Sabathia Halloween tradition continued with a build-up. Before his ultimate family picture reached the media, CC uploaded a tweet saying, “#SabathiaHalloween loading…👻🎃💀”

Shortly after, the 2007 American League Cy Young Award winner uploaded the 2022 Halloween image on his Instagram handle.

CC’s former alcohol addiction and his story of coming out of it

Back in 2015, CC officially announced that he was checking himself into an alcohol treatment center to tackle his alcohol addiction problem that started affecting his life, his relationships, and his professional career with the New York Yankees. Recently, the pitcher completed seven years of sobriety.

He uploaded a tweet and said, Blessed to celebrate 7 years of sobriety to this day. Seven years ago, I made a decision to improve every aspect of my life. To be a better teammate, father, husband, and friend. Im so thankful to have overcome alcohol dependency and live a healthy life. To many more years.”
